Water is a favorite subject of mine, so when I first saw this view I knew I wanted to paint it! But there was a problem, I was going to have to stand over the water looking in, so that I wouldn't fall into the water! So I took a photo.
To start the painting I put in the design with thinned down oil paint, using ultramarine blue mixed with a little red. The canvas size is 24X30 inches.
I'll be posting more of the painting in progress. Hope you follow along.
