Step by Step Painting from a Photo #3

Keep working on the "Darks" so you can remember the forms you are painting.
  Now introduce the mid-tones.
The rock in the bottom left is an example of what-not-to-do.  That is, to get so fascinated with one area that you neglect the rest of the painting.  Working all over the canvas is a better approach.
