30 Day Challenge

I started the 30 Day Painting Challenge on-the-road, and had to paint in a hotel room!
I used watercolor for the "first time" so I wouldn't have to bring my oils with me.
I thought Abstracts would be easy and fun?   Easy, NO!   Fun?   When they worked, they were fun, but I painted many abstracts that didn't get posted!

I learned that Abstract or Representational Art needs a good design to work.
Color will help, but will only take you so far,
than it is the job of the focal point to hold the painting together.

I want to Thank Leslie Saeta for hosting this challenge once again,
and Thank You for looking!

    1. JanettMarie,
Well yes, if you use "The New Math"!
I was on a roll and enjoying "The Challenge" until a family situation diverted my attention.
Thank You for your very kind comment!

  3. Sharon,
I didn't set out to have a diverse body of work this month! I "thought" it would all be abstract. I chose abstract as a challenge, because I have never done abstract before and thought I would learn in the process! What I learned was "ALL" types of art depend on design to be successful. And maybe I should leave abstract up to those that do it so well!
Thank you for your wonderful comment!
