I'll Race You!
8X8 Oil on panel
I was given a retro linen tea towel which inspired this painting.
The colors of the stripes in the towel, were the most popular colors for kitchen appliances and accessories in the 50's and 60's. I have noticed all of the colors being used again since kitchens are now the new family room.
What goes around comes around!
I love the vintage towels and you always do a great job on apples. I am still waiting to see the finished project of the Cherry Pie Slice you were working on in Atlanta.
ReplyDeleteAgain, you did a great job on the vintage towel painting above. I have been wanting to do some fruit and vegetable with towels as the back drop. You make me want to be home painting now with this piece.
Beautiful greens in the apples and those stripes are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteDonna Tucker,
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Love that you keep me on my toes reminding me to finish the pie painting!
I need to set up a pie slice, put ice cream on top and take a photo. The photo I was working from had problems and I wasn't sure "HOW" to finish, that is why you haven't seen it. But I'm on it!
Thanks,
Jacklyn
